On Friday, Dec. 9 LC State Women’s Basketball played against Carroll College with a win of 62-50.
From the game summary by LC State’s Sports Information Director, Alisha Alexander stated, “Ellie Sander stepped up in a big way to help the No. 13 Warrior women to a victory over ri- val No. 9 Carroll College in front of 472 fans in Lewiston on Friday night.”
Alexander also drew attention to Sophomore Ellie Sander with a career-high 20 points, earning LC State
its “third straight upset win against the NAIA-power- house Fighting Saints by a final of 62-50.”
This night was also the Teddy Bear toss hosted by Warrior Athletics partner- ing with P1FCU. According to the LC State Athletics website, 167 Teddy Bears were tossed at halftime to directly benefit the holidays of the children in the LC Valley.
According to the social media page @lcwarriors on Instagram, the Warrior Women Basketball are in the top 10 in the latest NAIA poll after going 4-0 with a win over the No. 9 Carroll.
