KLCZ is officially rebranding! Its new name is: LCWR (LC Warrior Radio). The club’s advisor, Ian Tippets, shares the details about what’s next for LC State’s radio station.
Tippets explained that LCWR plans to become a streaming only platform, just like other college radio stations in order for it to feel more current and engaging.
Its new website (lcwarriorradio.com) plans to include features such as archived shows, and possibly a podcast style format. As of right now, the KLCZ website is still active and can be used for streaming as the new website and logo are still under development, so fear not, loyal listeners!
Why the rebrand? Tippets shared the main hope is that with the change of their logo, tag, and swag, it will generate more interest and awareness of the radio station on campus.
Tippets hinted that LCWR will hopefully be able to do a campus activity for the re-brand launch, so look out for that, folks! Until then, “LCWR: Streaming Wherever You Are.”
