News from CDA Campus: The CDA Campus has started a food drive that will run until the end of November. The weeks have been slow but events at the end of the month are more promising to yield better results.
The $200 budget for CDA campus coffee has been approved, now the CDA campus will have free coffee available to them.
Event Update: Jars came and went and had better results this year than in the past COVID-19 years.
The Warrior Entertainment Board gave a report on their NACA trip. This trip was to help the members of WEB to gain new knowledge and skills to better host events, create new events, and have better social media presence.
They also made connections with performers and other schools learning about deals that can be made for institutions that are near each other. Letting performers do “mini-tours” that will give discounted prices for the institutions and the students.
Legacy project news: The Foam Letter project had a budget increase to $1,700 to account for shipping and the letters will be ordered soon.
Council Information Reports:
Faculty Senate – Concerns about sabbaticals and overworking were addressed by staff and faculty.
Diversity Committee – The diversity board were discussing how the athletic department approaches diversity with Athletic Director Brooke Henze.
Discussing plans of action that can be taken in the future to recruit more internationally the way Kai Fong does for tennis. Plans were also discussed to try and get athletes more involved in diversity events to help bring out more students.
